Hallaryds Hembygdsförening

År 2027 firar föreningen sitt 75-årsjubileum.

Hallaryds Hembygdsförening är en lokal hembygdsförening i natursköna Hallaryd. Föreningen har funnits sedan 1952 och arbetar för att bevara bygdens historia, byggnader och miljöer för kommande generationer. De förvaltar Hallaryds Hembygdsmuseum med bland annat en bevarad handelsbod, ett hem, ett skomakeri och skolsalar från 1849. Museet håller öppet under sommaren.

Mitt i byn ligger också hembygdsparken vid Helge å. Här firas midsommar med dans runt midsommarstången och levande musik, och varje år arrangeras den populära Hallarydsdagen i juni. Parken är en uppskattad mötesplats där besökare kan njuta av naturen, promenera på byns naturstigar eller slå sig ner med en fikakorg.

Föreningen driver även Hallarydsgården, ett vackert äldre hus som fungerar som föreningens samlingspunkt. Här finns arkiv, möteslokal och möjlighet att hyra lokalen för sammankomster. Föreningen ordnar också aktiviteter som berättarkvällar, studiecirklar, våffelkafé och andra sociala evenemang.

Enligt informationsbladet ordnar föreningen också filmvisningar, föredrag och medlemsaktiviteter, tar hand om bilder och filmer samt ger ut skrifter och böcker. Under sommaren öppnar Kvistans kafé som pop up-kafé vid vissa datum, och föreningen välkomnar nya medlemmar.

Hallaryds Hembygdsförening is a local heritage association in the scenic village of Hallaryd. Founded in 1952, the association works to preserve local history, traditional buildings, and cultural environments for future generations. It manages Hallaryd’s heritage museum, which includes a preserved old shop, a home, a shoemaker’s workshop, and school rooms from 1849. The museum is open during the summer season.

In the center of the village, you will also find the heritage park by the Helge å river. This is where Midsummer is celebrated with dancing around the maypole and live music, and where the popular Hallarydsdagen is held every June. The park is a pleasant meeting place where visitors can enjoy nature, walk local trails, or relax with a picnic basket.

The association also runs Hallarydsgården, a beautiful historic house that serves as the heart of the organization. It is used for meetings, archives, and can also be rented for gatherings. The association arranges activities such as storytelling evenings, study circles, waffle café events, and other community activities.
